I don’t think that the pockets of poverty are the same that was more than 50 years ago.
The same with the juvenile delinquency is the same with the gangs and mugging and raping and even murder. And the difference is back in the 50s the gangs were probably peace treating
The Native Americans were the group of people who were left out the economic boom
Profound fears about the country’s young people, it seemed, dominated the end of a decade that had brought great progress for many Americans
Poverty line-a level of personal or family income below which one is classified as poor by the federal government
Urban renewal-government programs that attempt to eliminate poverty and revitalize urban areas
Abstraction-an idea that is difficult for some to understand
Termination policy-a government policy to bring Native Americans into the mainstream society
Technical-to have special understanding of mechanical or scientific knowledge
Juvenile delinquency-antisocial or criminal behavior of young people
conformity-to change in a way that fits a standard or authority
Michael Harrington- was another writer concerned with poverty in the United States
Bracero program-brought nearly 5 million Mexicans too the United States to work on farms and ranches in the Southwest
Because the Native American’s were the first here and then they tried to take the Native American out
